Unable to pause/play using the hand-free

Hello,

I am on an iPhone 8 plus. Despite it poses no problem double-clicking or triple-clicking the Apple original hand-free to skip a song or to return to the previous song, it is not possible to pause or play by clicking just once the hand free. Because of this, I have not been using the app for days. If you would and you could, I hope that this problem could be solved as quickly as possible. Thanks for all.
